Carbide and Carbon Building

The skin of this building is a dark green terracotta that appears at a distance to be black; though also, greenish charcole or forest green
depending on the lighting. The spire is reportedly in gold leaf. Though obviously well maintained it was still undergoing some
"construction season" touch ups to this outer skin. Upon closer inspection there are missing tiles and one wonders at the selection of
terracotta for a construction material.
A perhaps unwise choice but one nevertheless uniquely beautiful and characteristic one.
