Queensborough Bridge

You can't walk across the Queensboro Bridge and that's a shame as it is so pretty and to captue the city views would
be fantastic. There is a "ski" style lift, ferrying people across the Hudson though, another thing for us to do next time.


We came upon the bridge at dusk, to be honest we had been a little lost, got redirected by some friendly cops and then
when back on track again saw the bridge. We took a detour and found anther reason to love NYC.

The street you see above hits a dead end and this is the view you get for your trouble! The mushroom
structures beneath the pilons occur both sides of the bridge. I think they house indoor tennis courts or
similar, I'm not sure now?
The Hudson River below looks deep and deadly, you can see the swirling eddies and strong currents underneath
the Queensboro, though the photo from this angle doesn't bring this out.
