Grand
Central Station
Grand
Central Station is a fine example of the United States' devotion to
the archictecture of Classical antiquity, as
is the New York Public Library. The atrium/foyer/entrance of the Station
exhibits the classical triumph of enclosing vast space,
it is lyrical and uplifting as major train stations go. The public
library exhibits a truely internal grandeur of a solid, oppulent,
grand staircase, awe inspiring type. The architecture is meant to
awe the viewer, the public, and does so brilliantly. In much
the same way as all religous temples of course. We are seduced and
impressed beyond our wildest imaginings and must
'believe". NYC seduces and turns you into a junky for her.
